JR said once when we were driving...can you believe we have two kids in the back of our car and we are not bringing them home to their parents!

JR has his final out processing from the Air Force today. It was sad to see him leave in his uniform because I know that is the last time I will see him in it. He of course is so excited, especially about the facial hair. I sometimes think that the main reason he wanted to get out is so he could grow a goatee.

Benny is like what is the big deal??? He looks like this everyday.

Baker's Blood

We took Baker to get his blood drawn this morning and besides the shaking, screaming, and utter fear that he showed, I suppose it went pretty well. They took a ridiculous amount of blood from the poor kid, but at least they got it the first time and didn't have to dig around like the crazy lady did last time, I thought Air Force docs were bad, the army has it worse. On our way home I kept thinking about how much blood they took from him and that there probably wasnt much left for his brain to use, so I kept telling merriah to keep an eye on him to make sure he didnt pass out, and of course what does he do-- goes right to sleep-- so I kept telling Merriah that the army gave Baker brain damage and he was never going to be the same... anyway me and baker chilled all day and I gave him Vault, which is just like Mountain Dew, and of course what does he do--goes right to sleep-- I swear if that kid doesnt have any blood left then I will flip... Merriah said its ok cause when she was preggy with him they took 6 viles from her, that doesnt make me feel any better cause she is like 100 times the size of him... me and baker finished the day at Home Depot, and now he is sleeping... anyway, about my last post, Merriah has forgiven me after she tried to say that she wasnt going to a baby shower of a lady that i used to work with, but I convinced her(man I could sweet talk a horse) that I was very wrong,,, and we went and had a good time.. Baker is up... LATER

Not too bad but not a 100 either....I have OCD!

I got a 95 out of 100 on my first quiz (each one is 10% of my grade). Although I do not know which one I got wrong...I have a pretty good idea that it was "What confimation do we have that the Old testament is authentic?" a) Old manuscripts dated to 12th century BC b) Moses c) Jesus D) the prophets....any takers??? Paul? Anna? Josh?? ; )

School...off to my 4th College

Well I decided that it is time that I head back to school and finish my Bachelors in Psychology. I decided to go to Liberty University. I really like their online program and I get some perks because of JR's military background. I have to take 7 Psych classes and do an intership and take 4 Bible classes (it is a Christian school). I decided to take a Bible class first: Intro to studying the Bible and thought it was just a class where we learn about scripture and Bible stories and since it is a freshmen class I figured how hard can it be? Well I have realized that I will be learning way too much about studying the Bible than I wanted too....not too much about the Bible but actually studying it (translations and all the technical scholarly stuff). I have a new found respect for people who do it for a living....there is so much more to it than I ever knew and while reading and trying to figure everything out, I have come to the conclusion that Josh (my 10 year old brother in law) would do better in this class than me. I have my first test tomorrow and I am going to see how in depth my professor actually goes...I will keep you informed ; ) They are only 8 week classes so they pack a lot of stuff in each week. BTW Baker is not too fond of his mom doing schoolwork. He steals my pens and highlighters and throws them and the second I start reading he comes up to me and pushes the book away and sits on my lap...JR has come to the conclusion that I will probably NEVER have a job so it is really smart for me to be the one with the education and stay home while he works without one LOL If only he could get motivated to go back then we could both have one. It is FREE for him for goodness sake...but I do not push it because I know I will end up with his school work to do on top of mine.

Peace I am out!!!

It is time for me to grow some facial hair, which is the primary reason for me getting out of the Air Force. Plus the quality of the Air Force isnt what it used to be, not nearly as much discipline and hard nosed values that I was fortunate enough to be subjected to my first few years in. My little boy is crazy but a lot of fun, and hopefully by taking this job now I will gain the experience that I need and be able to set myself and the family up for success down the road. I really don't know what to write, Merriah is making me do this, and then yells at me because I spend 10 minutes a day on the computer (other than the MLB package that I ordered so I get all the games, and get to watch them live on my computer) she still yells at me, here is an example, but not about the computer, she was making me koolaid and Baker was sitting on the counter playing in the sink and he had this nasty brush that we scrub the dishes with and she was filling up the container and running the water so baker sticks the brush under the faucet and the water ran through the nasty brush and into the koolaid... gross huh, so being the kind and understanding husband that I am, I waited a little bit (3 seconds) and as she is still filling up the koolaid like nothing happened I asked her so politely to dump it out... AND THE WAR BEGAN... so I sit here knowing that for the moment she hates me, so I will let her cool off for a little while then apologize and let her know that realize I am the worst husband and father that has ever walked the face of the earth... :-) I have been home ALOT lately and she is definitely getting tired of me being around all the time, but I know she loves me, but as everyone knows too much of JR is never a good thing. So I was just going to write a sentence but it looks more like a book. oh well I will update later!!! but I will finish by saying I have the best wife and son in the world and I wouldn't trade them for anything, unless someone has redskins season tickets, then I will consider... :-) J/K

August Pics of Baker

Here are some new pics of our little man. As you can see he is becoming quite the little musician. He is now 19 1/2 months old and growing up to be quite the little personality. He has a TEMPER...just like his mom and does not listen...just like his dad. JR and I were talking one day and realized that neither of us are laid back so I do not how we can expect to have a laid back child....it makes it all the more fun and interesting. We had his check up this month and he is still on the little side. 24 lbs 3 oz and 32 inches tall ( I think they gave him at least an inch though). I took him to have his blood drawn to get a RAST test for his allergies since the list keeps growing everytime I feed him something...well after poking him for what felt like forever and moving the needles all around...my poor little man and I had enough and made them stop without a drop of blood. Oh yeah have I mentioned how much I love military hospitals : ( So we are off to try again this week...but this time his dad has to be the mean guy.

This is the Mei Tai my mom made....Awesome huh?

Let's try our hand at this

Well seeing that we are miles away from family and friends and I can not expect our parents to get a myspace page to view new pics of Baker...I decided to give this blog thing a shot. It is just one more of the many webpages I will have to check each day...but we will see how it goes.
